BLENDER DYE OVER® is packed in plastic bottles for dilutions in 1 gallon (3,8 Lt) and 5 gallons (19 Lt).
The application ranges for already diluted BLENDER DYE OVER® can vary from floor to floor, depending on several factors such as: roughness, texture, porosity, age of concrete, among others.
BLENDER DYE OVER® for 1 gallon dilution (3,8 Lt) yield from 400ft2 – 600ft2 (37m2 – 55 m2).
1. Place acetone in a container (check the container is solvent resistant).
2. Empty the contents of the container BLENDER DYE OVER®.
3. Mix vigorously, close properly to avoid evaporation of acetone and allow to stand for at least 3 hours before the application.
Before starting to install the diluted BLENDER DYE OVER®, you must shake the container again to ensure that the concentrate is properly mixed.
1. Apply the diluted BLENDER DYE OVER® with a sprinkler fine nozzle. It can also be applied with white tow of industrial use.
2. The diluted BLENDER DYE OVER® will dry in a matter of minutes, then remove with a soft dry cloth the excess of residues that dye left on drying and ambient dust.
3. If you are using the BLENDER DYE OVER® in a polishing and shinning system, proceed to the last polishing step of the system.
BLENDER DYE OVER® is translucent, imperfections on the surface can be accentuated.
In polishing and shinning systems, once the BLENDER DYE OVER® has dried, it is recommended to apply 2 layers of FGS Hardener Plus or Lion Hard (allow the first layer to dry before applying the second layer) to give brightness to the color and delay color loss over time.
When BLENDER DYE OVER® is not applied in polishing and shinning systems it is necessary to apply some sealer to delay the loss of color over time. It is suggested to use products of the L & M line as Permaguard SPS or the Blender line as BLENDER BICOMPONENT POLYURETHANE®, BLENDER SEAL ACRYL® 30% o BLENDER SEAL ACRYL® WB.
Do not use the BLENDER DYE OVER® as a final touch in the polishing and shinning concrete process, in any case it can be applied at any step of the polishing and shinning system starting from stone 400 onwards and depending on which step was selected in the process of the system. Preferably it is recommended to apply in the previous step to the last selected, commonly are chosen among the following steps for the final touch: 800, 1500 and 3000.
The use of a sprinkler with fine nozzle in the BLENDER DYE OVER® can ensure uniformity and effectiveness in the application. Spray a layer evenly without creating puddles or over spraying to prevent overspend product or to have a discoloration.
For additional protection against oil and other liquid stains, it is recommended to apply the Petrotex oil and water repellent after finishing the application of the FGS Hardener Plus sealer for the case of polished and polished concrete.
