BLENDER ULTRA DECK® is a monocomponent decorative coating and leveling mortar based on cement and high strength reinforced chemicals that support adhesion with the existing concrete surface indoor or outdoor concrete floors, such as housing firms, pedestrian areas, garages, offices, corridors, stairs, commercial premises, pool exteriors, etc. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® has been designed as a leveling system with anti-skid finish, as it is a primary mortar that is installed on the concrete surface and thus can subsequently receive an over layer of the same mortar and thus obtain the superficial and decorative finish desired. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® as a primary coating can be used on flat surfaces and placed in a thickness of up to 25 mm (1″), with the addition of water only. For thicker applications consult your Blender Group ® executive. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® is also a flexible, non-reactive system that has a short working time in its installation, its composition and special formulation, is designed for its easy thrown application, by means of a compressor and professional gun for applications of mortars. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® is available in either natural grey concrete color or white natural concrete color, depending on the requirement of your project. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® is designed to add up to a 500 ml (17 fl oz.) bottle of liquid dye called BLENDER COLORMAX LIQUID® per 25 kilo packaging. BLENDER COLORMAX LIQUID®. is available in a wide range of colors to impact any customer’s requirement, because by combining the cementitious bases of the BLENDER ULTRA DECK® gray or white, we will obtain endless colors. Consult your Blender Group sales advisor® for more information on the color chart. The installation of BLENDER ULTRA DECK® requires professional placement, despite its ease of application. BLENDER ULTRA DECK®MAKES THE SURFACE FRESH (IT DOES NOT HEAT UP AS A CONCRETE). Basic Use: Excellent product maneuverability, use and adhesion on concrete surfaces, making it ideal to use in repair and leveling projects of areas that require the installation of a mortar with anti-skid finish.

Surface preparation: The concrete surface on which BLENDER ULTRA DECK® will be applied should preferably be rough (open pore). Previously pre-damp the entire concrete surface with water for a minimum of 2 hours. One hour before the placement of BLENDER ULTRA DECK® the surface should be saturated and moist without having water in place (saturated-dry surface, SSD). Before placing BLENDER ULTRA DECK® be sure to repair any damage to the existing concrete surface (cracks, chips, joints, etc.) in order to obtain better results from the application system. We recommend doing a deep cleaning on the entire concrete surface that BLENDER ULTRA DECK® will receive using BLENDER Citrus®, in order to ensure the perfect anchoring and adhesion of the product, avoid placing the system on surfaces contaminated by grease, oil stains, chewing gum, dirt, natural resins released by trees and any other chemicals or contaminants. Water Mixing Requirements: (Base) In its placement phase as leveling coating (First Phase or Base) the approximate water requirement for BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE is 3.6 – 4.2 Liters of water / 25Kg package. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® product Mix BASE: Do not mix by hand. For best results use a mortar mixer or an industrial drill adjusted with its special mixer or propellant for mortar mixing. First, place the required water in the mixer and then add BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE while the mixer is operating. When using a mortar mixer, mix for 3 to 5 minutes or until it reaches an even consistency. When mixing small amounts, mix for about 2 minutes or until desired consistency is reached. Mix only the amount that can be placed in a time of 20 minutes. Base Placement: In areas previously saturated with water, without overwatering or flooding, immediately place BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE, using a professional flat metallic tool, spreading the product from one side to the other until you get a closed pore surface and smooth. Avoid leaving air gaps at the bottom, as this way, you can obtain and ensure proper adhesion. Level to the desired elevation. Minimal finishing work is required. Do not overwork the surface to avoid dryness. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE should not be placed on surfaces that have paraffin based curing compounds, any type of sealant, polyurethanes, polyaspartics, paints or other coatings. Placing BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE on Joints Original and existing cuts and joints on the concrete surface must be respected equally, which must match the base with the surface, if not so, there is a risk of short-term chipping, cracking, hoisting, and system detachments. Cold weather: The surface on which BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE shall be applied must have a temperature of 5°C (40°F) or higher. Blender When the air temperature is lower than 12°C (55°F) hot water can be used at a temperature not higher than 38oC (100oF). Do not use accelerators or anti-freezes. Hot Weather: The temperature of the surface to which BLENDER ULTRA DECK® is applied should not exceed 40°C (105°F). Soak the concrete with cold water in order to lower the surface temperature and prevent the instant setting of BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE. When the air temperature is higher than 25oC (80oF) ice water can be used to cool BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE. Curing: Under most conditions, BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE may occasionally need to be covered with a plastic to protect from the stress of premature moisture loss caused by wind, heat or sun. Placement of APPLICATION (GUN) Once BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE is dry and cured, proceed to place BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN, with the design and color of your liking. Surface preparation: The surface should be dry and previously prepared only with BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE. Water mixing requirements: The approximate water requirement for a flat consistency is 3.0 to 3.5 Liters / 25Kg. package + a bottle of BLENDER COLORMAX LIQUID® 500 milliliters (17 fl oz) BLENDER (3/4 – 1 gallon Water / 55lb bulk) + BLENDER COLORMAX LIQUID® bottle 500 milliliters. (17 fl oz) Mixture: Avoid mixing by hand. For best results use a mortar mixer or an industrial drill with its special mixer or propellant for mortar mixing. First, place the required water in the mixer and then add BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN while the mixer is operating. When using a mortar mixer, mix for 3 to 5 minutes or until it reaches an even consistency. When mixing small amounts, mix for about 2 minutes or until desired consistency is reached. Mix only what can be placed in a time of 20 minutes. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN Previous to placement: To create floors with different designs and anti-skid textures, you can make use of your creativity by using paper tape, stencils, safety protective meshes used on site, initially placing them on blender’s dry base BLENDER ULTRA DECK® BASE. If you decide to use stencils, safety protective meshes used on site in your projects, make sure that it is well stretched, attached and fixed to the surface to avoid unwanted stains, you can then proceed to apply the final layer of the BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN. Final placement to BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN: A. Turn on the professional compressor for mortar launch. B. Empty the required amount of BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN into the plastic basket. C. Then make a uniform spray and in a single direction from right to left until you completely cover the desired surface, so that there is a uniform layer and the expected thickness. D. If in your first launch application you do not completely cover the desired surface, perform the same procedure until you reach the desired thickness. E. No need to wait for curing or final drying between layer and layer application. F. Avoid leaving air gaps in the bottom to ensure proper adhesion. Handle a distance from the floor to the application gun of 40 – 50 cm. (15 – 20 in) approximately.
The yielding per package of BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN will vary depending on the volume thrown and thickness of the final layer required. To mention: 3mm thickness – 3.5 m2 / (1/8 in) (40ft2) You can apply a final layer to give different contrasts if required by the project. Cold weather: The surface on which it will be applied must have a temperature of 5°C (40°F) or higher. BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN should be protected from freezing for the first 3 days after placement. When the air temperature is less than 12°C (55°F) hot water can be used at a temperature not higher than 38°C (100°F). Do not use accelerators or anti-freezes. Hot Weather: The temperature of the surface to which BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN is applied must not exceed 40°C (105°F). Soak the concrete with water in order to lower the surface temperature and prevent the instant setting of BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN. When the air temperature is higher than 25°C (80°F) ice water can be used to cool BLENDER ULTRA DECK® GUN. Sealing: To extend the life of BLENDER ULTRA DECK® we recommend sealing the product surface using roller, brush, sprinkler, etc., depending on the final texture on the surface, using any of the existing sealants of the line Blender Group®, to name: BLENDER SEAL ACRYL® 25% or 30% solid. BLENDER SEAL ACRYL® WB. BLENDER POLYURETHANE BICOMPONENT.
